Insert Object

Insert an object (DXF/DWG) from iCON trades/Objects to the drawing.

• Create a customized Objects Library

Creating an Objects Library:

1. Paste DXF or DWG files with objects into the Internal Storage/iCON trades/Objects folder.
2. Start the Insert Object tool.
3. Tap Import on the library screen.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the desired object file.
   
   
   
   
5. Choose between importing the whole drawing or each block separately and define import settings, for example drawing units.
   
   
   
   
6. Define the reference point, which will be later used for placement of the object. Use snapping options to select the desired point.
   
   
   
   
7. Confirm.

Inserting an object:

1. Select an object from the library and tap Insert.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the insertion point on the drawing. Use snapping options to select the desired point. The rotation of the object will be automatically aligned to the selected line.
   
   
   
   
3. Move or rotate the object if necessary.
   
   
   
   
4. Review and accept the results.

Icon
	Move Define the offset from a reference line.
	Rotate Rotate the object using arrows on the bottom of the screen. Align to an existing object.

☞ The tool is only available for the Templating licence.

☞ The object is placed on the active layer.

☞ Snap to an existing object to align the object orientation. This is optional.
